Macaroni Kid Cares: Supporting Local Business Guide

By Compiled By Robbi S. Publisher Mom, NE and NW Columbus Macaroni Kid May 11, 2020

NE and NW Columbus Macaroni Kid care about families and small businesses. We have created a guide that highlights some of these local businesses. Many of them have had to find some creative ways to keep the lights on, and some are unable to open at all. Please help support these local businesses. If you can’t support financially, you can also show you care by following them on social media and sharing them with your friends.

NE Columbus Macaroni Kid and NW Columbus Macaroni Kid would also love your support at this time, please subscribe to our newsletters and like and follow us on social media.

Business Name: Menchie's Frozen Yogurt

Website

Facebook

About your Business, what you are offering at this time and/or how the community can support your business:

All restaurants that re-open in the post-pandemic world face many challenges.  Seating has to be spaced out to ensure physical distancing, no salt & pepper shakers on the tables, disposable menus, and more.  We know that many families enjoy coming to Menchie's to be together, enjoy a great treat, celebrate birthdays, hang out after the soccer game or softball game.  Many people have called our store to ask if we are open, so we have re-opened for curbside and delivery orders, with limited hours and limited flavor choices to start.  You can choose from 3 sizes (small $4, regular $7.60 or large, $9.99).  Your cup comes with 2 toppings, extras are $.75.  We hope to offer online ordering shortly.  Feel free to call the store at 614-339-5656 to place an order ahead of time or order at the door.  Your flavor and topping choices are posted at the door.

One thing that hasn't gotten much attention is the fact that when restaurants re-open they CANNOT offer self serve or buffet options.  The fun of tasting and choosing your own combinations of flavors and toppings has been the appeal for Menchie's fans.  For the foreseeable future, the only choice we have is to continue to offer you Menchie's with our team preparing your cup, with toppings packaged and served on the side.  We know this isn't "Mix, Weigh Pay" but serving you in this manner will hopefully allow us to survive for the long haul.

Menchies would LOVE your feedback. Would you want to see longer hours, would you rather have less yogurt/more toppings, is your favorite topping missing from the menu? Please send your opinions to dublin.menchies@gmail.com or contact them through their Facebook Page
