If you have young kids then you know the value of a good splash pad or fountain area. It's the perfect activity for a hot summer day in Columbus! We've rounded up a list of splash pads and fountain areas in and around Columbus, and good news, they are ALL FREE!
So grab your towel, a change of clothes, water bottles, and snacks and head out to your favorite splash pad in Columbus! And don't forget to tag us when you post pictures of those cuties splashing around!

Splash Pads and Fountains in the NE Columbus Territory*
*The NE Columbus Territory includes Polaris, Westerville, New Albany, Gahanna, Easton, Bexley, and the Franklin Park neighborhood of Columbus
Hanby Park Splash Pad - Westerville: A cute splash pad with adjacent swings where tired parents can take a load off while the kiddos splash. There is also a picnic shelter, restrooms, playground with swings, and it's adjacent to the Westerville Library. Check out our full review of Hanby Park here.
Easton Town Center - Town Square (near Brio): Super fun fountain for littles and bigs, there are plenty of benches for adults. Adjacent to the trains, Brio, Cheesecake Factory, and Barnes and Noble. Open 10am-5pm Monday - Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sunday. Fountains may be turned off for special events or inclement weather. Call guest services at (614)-337-2200 to confirm fountains are on.
Polaris Fashion Place - Open Mall Area: Open during mall hours. Small splash pad with a few benches for parents. Great place to cool off after shopping, or if you live close and want something more passive for your younger kids. The KidX program will be hosting their programs at the splash pad each Friday this summer from 10:30-12:00.
Gahanna Swimming Pool Splash Pad: Opening day is May 3rd for Gahanna's inaugural splash pad! Splash Pad will be open to the public from 8:00am-12:00pm each day, and only accessible to pool attendees outside of those hours.
Other Columbus Area Splashpads of Note
Interactive Fountain at Dorrian Green Park (In front of COSI): Park hours are 7am-11pm, fountain hours are not specified, although they tend to be on during peak visiting hours. There are shaded tables, swings, a playground, and garden nearby.
Fountainside at the Scioto Mile: Nice large water splash pad with water spouts and overhead water outlets, plus it's lit up at night! Some seating for adults, with Bicentennial Park close by for picnicking. Hours and updates can be found on the website.
Splashpad at John Bishop Park (4815 Etna Rd., Whitehall, OH 43213): Opens for 2024 on May 24th. Hours are Tuesday - Sunday 11:30am-7:00pm. A list of rules is on the website - basically the splash pad is open to all, no toys, and swim diapers for the little ones.
Barnett Park (1184 Barnett Rd, Columbus 43227): Open 12:00pm-7:00pm beginning Memorial Day weekend during the season. You'll need a Leisure Card to take advantage of this facility.
Blackburn Park (263 Carpenter St, Columbus 43205): Open 12:00pm-7:00pm during the season. You'll need a Leisure Card to take advantage of this facility.
Linden Center for Opportunity (1350 Briarwood Ave., Columbus, OH 43211): Open 12:00pm-7:00pm during the season. You'll need a Leisure Card to take advantage of this facility.
Scioto Southland Comunity Center Sprayground (3901 Parsons Ave., Columbus, OH 43207): Open 12:00pm-7:00pm during the season. You'll need a Leisure Card to take advantage of this facility.
Hilliard Station Park: Fountains on every day from 9 am - 10 pm.
Dublin Ballantrae Community Park Spray Fountains (6350 Woerner Temple Rd., Dublin, OH 43016): Open 10:00am-8:00pm during the season.
Powell Splash Pad - Village Green Park: Open 9:00am to 9:00pm during the season, weather permitting. For questions please call 614-885-5380 or visit the City of Powell website or Facebook page.
Veterans Park Splash Pad - 1121 S. Houk Rd, Delaware: Open daily , dawn to dusk during the season. This is an adorable dinosaur themed park! Near the Community Center YMCA. City of Delaware Facebook page.
