Trail of Scarecrows

It’s time to explore The Trail of Scarecrows in Fairfield County! We are thrilled by all the enthusiasm our county has shown for this fun event. No matter what you love most about autumn, you’re sure to fall for the Trail of Scarecrows! Named “The Scarecrow Capital of Ohio,” Fairfield County has 14 communities displaying fantastic scarecrows during the entire month of October.

How can you join in the fun? It’s easy! Check out the digital map on the Visit Fairfield County app and click on the community name in the left column that you want to explore. This digital map (coming soon!) will show you a list of the scarecrows in that community and if you click on the “map it” icon, you can see them on a map for your convenience.

Are you up for a challenge? You can also download the Fairfield County app and take part in a super fun county-wide challenge!

When you find a scarecrow, click “Check-In” and enter the code that is on the sign. Once you’ve “Checked-In” at half (or more!) of the scarecrows in that community, you can submit your completed challenge and stop by the Visitor Center at 158 W. Wheeling Street in downtown Lancaster to pick up your scarecrow prizes.

Be sure to vote for your favorite scarecrow in every community! One scarecrow in each of the 14 communities will win a $50 Visa gift card for the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Visit Fairfield County.
