We're participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count, which takes place Feb. 17-20, 2023. The goal of the annual Great Backyard Bird Count, a citizen science project, is to count as many birds as participants can find, and report those findings back to the organizers, which include the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada!
We decided to make this super simple bird craft while we learn about all the different birds we see in Ohio.
To make this craft you'll need:
- Cupcake liners
- scissors
- Glue
- Markers
- Construction paper
- Cotton Balls
Directions:
1. Flatten your cupcake liner and fold it in half
2. Cut out your desired bird shape opposite to the fold
3. Unfold your design and add a small orange triangle from construction paper
4. Add eyes and any additional feathers, colors etc.
5. Glue to your desired color of construction paper
6. Add a few pieces of wispy cotton for clouds
