Local Columbus mom, Cindy Rovtar, recently released a children’s book titled, Welcome to the World, Squirrelly Q, with illustrations by Cheryl Crouthamel.
Squirrelly Q wakes up alone in snowy Central Park in New York City and begins an adventure to find the one the one who makes him feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. Along his journey, he meets several colorful critters (AKA his “Critter Crew”) who offer him the gifts of friendship, hope, and laughter as he searches for his true identity.
The characters in the book unveiled themselves to the first-time author over years of travel and adventure, but it wasn't until she became a mom to her own beautiful little critters that the characters were truly brought to life. Her sons, Eli and Max, are represented in the book as the characters of Mr. E Charles Wood (the groundhog) and Maximus (the mouse).
