In October we often think of falling leaves, apple cider and Halloween, but do you know it is also SOCKTOBER? Socktober is a WONDERFUL opportunity to help our local neighbors stay warm and comfortable as we approach the colder months ahead. Socktober is a fantastic event for families with children ages 4-12. This is a great event teaching gratitude and the importance of community service!
It's Socktober and Seeds of Caring is ready to knock some socks off....errrr, ON for our neighbors in need! Did you know that socks are one of the most needed yet least donated items at shelters and resource centers? Grab a pair of new socks and join Seeds of Caring this Sunday at the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resource Center. Kids will help organize sock donations, pack compassion kits and learn about neighbors struggling to meet their basic needs. Sign up here!
