Add Kindness to your Grandparent’s Day Celebration

By Seeds of Caring August 31, 2021

Did you know Grandparent’s Day is September 12? Wondering how to celebrate the grandparents in your life? Seeds of Caring has a creative & meaningful way to celebrate grandparents while helping your kids understand what it means to be a caring human!

For this Grandparent’s Day project your kids can connect with their grandparents via Zoom, in-person, or even through mail, using the prompts provided to learn fun facts about each other, discuss kindness, and then commit to completing acts of kindness together throughout the Fall. The intergenerational component of this signature Seeds of Caring service project makes it particularly special! A past Seeds of Caring parent commented: “Everyone had so much fun together! Three generations working side by side, spreading joy...Thank you for the opportunity!”

So, ready to start celebrating those grandparents? Upon registration, Seeds of Caring will provide you with a PDF guide that includes a conservation cube, meaning-making discussion prompts, a coloring page, a “Legacy of Caring Family Pledge” with dozens of ideas for kind action and more! Past participants shared, “It is always a boost to serve and I especially appreciated the conversation pieces for us to consider and discuss. I cannot thank you enough - that packet was awesome.”
