The Crystal Ballroom Dance Center is hosting a Youth Ballroom Open House on Saturday, October 3rd from 12 PM to 1:30 PM. This event will showcase their youth dance programs and is a great way to explore the opportunities for kids and teens.

Dancing is a perfect way for kids to be active, improve coordination and endurance, and interact with other kids. Through music and dance, children gain self-confidence and are able to express themselves in movement, in a safe and positive environment. Children are divided into groups by ages where they can learn the fundamentals of dance moves and work as a team.

The Crystal Ballroom Dance Center located in Worthington offers the opportunity to learn a variety of styles of dance as well as to connect with the music and with other people. Founded by Amy and David Ross in 2018, The Crystal Ballroom focuses on fostering an all-inclusive, positive learning environment. Their mission includes creating programs where people can connect through dance! That social interaction is so important during these unusual COVID times when isolation has everyone in a rut! The Crystal Ballroom teaches a variety of classes from private to group lessons for all skill levels.

The Crystal Ballroom is offering Partner-Free Youth Ballroom Group Classes for ages 6 - 18 this Fall beginning the second week of October. The classes will have their first performance on December 12th at The Crystal Ballroom Studio Showcase (as long as COVID Restrictions permit at that time).

Partner dancing is a great way for youth to be active, creative, learn to work as a team, build self-confidence, and body awareness while having a great time!

Since COVID restrictions don’t allow switching partners right now, The Crystal Ballroom is focusing their beginner classes on learning the basic footwork and movement through routines demonstrating some of the most popular ballroom dances, including Tango, Foxtrot, and Cha Cha! (Partnering will begin later in the fall, or in the spring - when the State Mandates allow.)

Depending on the ages of students enrolled, they will offer 2-3 classes divided by age.

Youth also have the option for Private Dance Lessons if they'd like to take it to another level.
