Are you looking for 4th of July fireworks, parades and events in NE Columbus and surrounding communities? We have your list! Some events span multiple days as noted, and we've highlighted the fireworks times when there are multiple activities. If you find some we don't have yet, please email us.

July 3rd:

Red, White and Boom 2014: 12pm to 11pm, a day filled with family fun festivities concluded with an amazing firework show. Website

Reynoldsburg: Independence Day Festivities, family fun activities start at 6pm (park opens at 5:30pm) at Civic Park (6800 Daughtery Dr.) and will include bounce houses, carnival games, food and fun.  Fireworks are at 9:45pm. Website

Johnstown: Family Fun Fest & Fireworks. Family Fun Fest starts at 6pm outside Johnstown Football Stadium. There will be bounce houses, face painting, mural drawing, family fun run and more. Fireworks will be set off at Johnstown-Monroe High School at dusk. website 

Newark: Fireworks at 10pm at Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre (1179 University Dr.)

Granville: Festivities start on July 2nd through 4th.  Midway, games and entertainment opens July 2nd, parade is July 4th. Fireworks are July 2nd. See all the details:  website

Whitehall: Fireworks start at 10pm at John Bishop Park (July 3rd).  On July 4th, there will be a parade at 10am starting at corner of East Broad St and Yearling Rd. and going to John Bishop Park, and afterwards there will be a community picnic with many fun activities – three-legged sack races, wheel-barrow races, pie judging, watermelon eating and cookie stacking contests and much more. See the line up HERE. Also starting Monday June 30th there will be amusements and rides from 5-10pm. 


July 4th:

New Albany: Parade will begin at 10:30am starting at the Church of the Resurrection. The evening festivities will begin at 6pm and enjoy live music, a rock climbing wall, baseball speed pitch, bounce houses, face painting and more {it all activities are free of charge, only food and drinks will be for fee}. Fireworks start at 10pm.  website

Bexley: The John Barr Bexley 4th of July 5K, Parade, community celebration and activities and fireworks – BIG day! 5K starts at Jeffrey Mansion at 8am. The parade starts at Maryland Ave/Remington Rd at 9:30am. The community celebration & activities start at 6pm (with kids activities) and the fireworks start at 10pm. Website 

Westerville: 5K Run & Walk starts at 8am, Rotary Children’s Fun Run is at 9:15am. The parade starts at 1pm in uptown, food will be collected along the parade route for WARM.  Fireworks art at 10pm from Alum Creek Park South – with a concert at the Sport Complex starting at 9pm, website  

Sunbury: Flea Market on the square (7am – 5pm), Parade starts at 10am and the KidZone and community picnic (free hot dogs!) on the Square is 11:30am – 3pm. The Sizzle in July Fireworks festivities start at 6:30pm at the High School with live entertainment, bounce houses and concessions – with fireworks at 10pm. Website

Reynoldsburg: Parade at 10am from Rosehill to Huber.  Website

Gahanna: The parade starts at 10:30am, and begins at Clark Hall/Dairy Queen and ends at Royal Manor on Stygler Rd. - see info HERE.

Worthington: Family Picnic & Fireworks, Starting at 4pm enjoy a family picnic on the lawn of Thomas Worthington High School – bring chairs & blankets. There will also be live entertainment, Supergames and more. Fireworks start at 10pm. website

Clintonville: Starts with a 5K Run/walk at Whetstone High School at 8:30am, Community breakfast at 7:30am, pet show at 9am, NCIL All-Star Games at 10am, Children’s July 4th Bike Decorating Contest (sign in at 10am), fishing derby 11-3pm, musical performances from 6pm until 10pm and fireworks at 10pm. Pickerington: Celebration at Victory Park starting at 4pm. The parade is at 6pm, then at 7:30pm the opening ceremonies start and then live music. Fireworks are at 10pm  Website

Delaware: Parade starts at 11am. At 7:30pm, the Central Ohio Symphony will perform at Phillips Glen at Ohio Wesleyan, lawn seating is free (front stage seating limited and $5). At 10pm the fireworks start, public viewing areas along Henry St. and OWU practice fields. Website

Grove City: Blast at Beulah, 5:30pm till 10:30pm, Fireworks approx 10pm, events include: live entertainment, fireworks display and children's activities. Walk-in admission is free, but there is a $5 fee to park in the Beulah parking lot. Website

Dublin: Fishing Derby at 8am, parade at 11am and the events at the Coffman HS beginning at 4:30pm. Fireworks at 9:50pm. Website

Hilliard: Independence Day Celebration, 10am till 11pm, Parade at 10am and Activities at 6pm at Rogers Municipal Park. Fireworks at 9:45pm. Rides actually kick off on July 3rd. Website

Plain City: Parade will begin at 11am, with events all day and fireworks at dusk. Website

Upper Arlington: Fourth of July Celebration, Parade at 9am and Party in the Park begins at 5pm with live music and a great firework finale at 10pm Website

Groveport: Kid's pet parade kicks off at 9am, with the main parade at 11am. After the parade there are lots of fun things to do including kid's games and activitites (with inflatables), live music, and a kiddie tractor pull. Fireworks are at dusk. Website


July 5th:

Pataskala: Fireworks and Cruise In at Foundation Park. Activities begin at 5pm with food, music and car cruise. Fireworks at night fall. Call 614-218-3442 for more info.


July 2nd:

Heath: Starting at 5pm there will many family activities, including inflatables, children's games, Columbus Blue Jackets, live entertainment and more. Geller Park. Fireworks are at 10pm (rain date July 2nd). Website
