On Wednesday, when my mom told me I was going to the new See's Candies at Easton Town Center with her for a special event, and I heard the word "candies", I got really excited! On Thursday night we went. I had a lot of candy there, and there was not a single chocolate that I didn't like. There were just so many candy choices, at least 100 different chocolates and candies!
I had 13 of their amazing chocolates that night. If I had to choose, which is hard, I'd pick the Blueberry, Key Lime and See's Apple Pie Truffles, and the Orange Bon Bon. I liked the Orange Bon Bon because it really tasted like oranges. Also, they told us that the bon bons were still hand dipped, which was cool. Next, the Blueberry Truffle was delicious because I liked how the chocolate and blueberry tasted together. Key Lime Pie was awesome because it tasted just like key lime pie which I love. And finally the See's Apple Pie Truffle actually tasted like apple pie, with bits of apple even. They told me that they use real apples and cinnamon and I sure tasted it. They also explained that they don't use any preservatives in any of their candies, other than butter which requires it.
I thought their history was cool too. Mary See was a real person who used to make chocolates for her family in her black and white home kitchen, which is why the stores are black and white now. Then her son Charles decided to open a candy shop in 1921 and use his mom's recipes. They told us they still use the recipes even now.
My experience at See's Candies was great. I really loved all of the chocolates and the employees were very nice too. I shared the chocolates they gave us to take home with my neighborhood friends and their parents and they all loved them too, even my very picky friend. I love See's Candies and recommend them.
