Are you looking for 4th of July fireworks, parades and events in NE Columbus and surrounding communities for the week? We have your list! Some events span multiple days as noted, and we've highlighted the fireworks times when there are multiple activities.  If you find some we don't have yet, please email us. {Updated July 1st}

July 3rd:

Red, White and Boom 2013: 12pm to 11pm, a day filled with family fun festivities concluded with an amazing firework show. Website  NOTE: We found a GREAT option for families going to Red, White and Boom - it's called Zoom to the Boom.  You can take COTA's Express service from one of seven different Park and Ride locations, including Westerville, Gahanna, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Crosswoods, Dublin or Olentangy/Bethel Rd. It will take you to Huntington Park where there will be live music, face painting for kids, inflatable games and more, and you will get a great view of the fireworks! Afterwards, you can ZOOM home with the express service. It's very affordable, and free to people with COTA passes already. See details HERE.

Reynoldsburg: Independence Day Festivities, Parade at 10am along East Main St. Family fun activities start at 6pm (park opens at 5:30pm) at Civic Park (6800 Daughtery Dr.) and will include bounce houses, carnival games, food and fun.  Fireworks are at 9:45pm. website

Johnstown: Family Fun Fest & Fireworks. Family Fun Fest starts at 6pm outside Johnstown Football Statium. There will be bounce houses, face painting, mural drawing, family fun run and more. Fireworks will be set off at Johnstown-Monroe High School at dusk. (rain date is July 5th) website

Newark: Fireworks at 10pm at Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre (1179 University Dr.)

Granville: Festivities start on July 3rd through 6th.  Midway, games and entertainment opens July 3rd, parade is July 4th. There will be fireworks and live music on July 5th at 8pm at Wildwood Park. See all the details:  website

Whitehall: Fireworks start at 9:55pm at John Bishop Park (July 3rd).  On July 4th, there will be a parade at 10am starting at corner of East Broad St and Yearling Rd. and going to John Bishop Park.


July 4th:

New Albany: Parade will begin at 10am starting at the New Albany Middle School. The evening festivities will begin at 5pm where you can bring a picnic or buy some food from local vendors, listen to Big Daddy Blue, and then take part in a community photo at 6:30pm. After that, enjoy the Street Players band from 7-10pm, and fireworks start at 10pmwebsite

Bexley: The John Barr Bexley 4th of July 5K, Parade, community celebration and activities and fireworks – BIG day! 5K starts at Jeffrey Mansion at 8am. The parade starts at Maryland Elementary at 9:30am. The community celebration & activities start at 6pm and the fireworks start at 10pmWebsite  Pool fun: July 3rd, there is an underwater egg hunt, Big & Little Splash Out and Slide King Races.  July 4th, show your patriotic colors to get ½ off a red, white and blue snow cone at the concession stand.  Admission for all ages will only be $5 for July 3rd or 4th.

Westerville: 5K Run & Walk starts at 8am, Rotary Children’s Fun Run is at 9am. The parade starts at 1pm in uptown, food will be collected along the parade route for WARM.  Fireworks art at 10pm from Alum Creek Park South – with a concert at the Sport Complex starting at 9pm, website and website

Sunbury: Flea Market on the square (7am – 5pm), Parade starts at 10am and the KidZone on the Square is 11am – 3pm. The Sizzle in July Fireworks festivities start at 6:30pm at the High School with live entertainment, bounce houses and concessions – with fireworks at 10pm.

Clintonville: Starts with a 5K Run/walk at Whetstone High School at 8:30am, Community breakfast at 7:30am, pet show at 9am, NCIL All-Star Games at 10am, Children’s July 4th Bike Decorating Contest (sign in at 10am), fishing derby 11-3pm, musical performances from 5pm until 10pm and fireworks at 10pm. Pickerington: Celebration at Victory Park starting at 4pm. The parade is at 6pm, then at 7:30pm the opening ceremonies start and the Reganonmics are on the main stage from 8-11pm. Fireworks are at 10pm  Website

Gahanna: Freedom Festival and Fireworks have unfortunately been cancelled due to budget cuts, but there are many other communities with festivities to visit. The parade, which is put on by the Lion's Club, is still happening - it starts at 10:30am - see info HERE.

Worthington
: Family Picnic & Fireworks, Starting at 4pm enjoy a family picnic on the lawn of Thomas Worthington High School – bring chairs & blankets. There will also be live entertainment, Supergames and more. Fireworks start at 10pm. website

Delaware: Parade starts at 3pm at the county fairgrounds liberty street gate, through downtown. At 7:30pm, the Central Ohio Symphony will perform at Phillips Glen at Ohio Wesleyan, lawn seating is free (front stage seating limited and $5). At 10pm the fireworks start, public viewing areas along Henry St. and OWU practice fields. Website

Grove City: Blast at Beulah, 5:30pm till 10:30pm, Fireworks approx 10pm, events include: live entertainment, fireworks display and children's activities. Walk-in admission is free, but there is a $5 fee to park in the Beulah parking lot. Website

Groveport: 4th of July Celebration, 11am till 10:45pm, Festival features continuous entertainment from the Main Street Parade at 11 am, Kid/pet parade at 3:30pm, Kiddie Tractor Pull at 5pm, live music throughout and fireworks at duskWebsite

Dublin: Color My World Red, White & Blue, enjoy the parade at 10am and the events at the Coffman HS beginning at 4pm Website

Hilliard: Independence Day Celebration, 10am till 11pm, Parade at 10am and Activities at 6pm at Rogers Municipal Park. Rides actually kick off on July 3rd. Website 

Plain City, Parade will begin at 2, event concludes by 3pm Website

Upper Arlington: Fourth of July Celebration,  Parade at 9am and Party in the Park begins at 5pm with live music and a great firework finale at 10pm Website

London: Ohio Patriotic Celebration, 5:30pm till 9pm, Family events till the Firework show, website

July 2nd:

Heath: Starting at 5pm there will many family activities, including inflatables, Tumblebus, children's games, Pattie's animals, clowns, roving entertainment, bookmobile, fire and police vehicles, and live entertainment. Geller Park. Fireworks are at 10pm. Website  {Thanks Erin for the info!}
