They are back! Free family summer movie series that are sponsored by different communities around the city and movie theater summer specials that are free or discounted! Whether you enjoy them outside under the stars or in the air conditioning, we have the list to add to your fun summer activities. We’ll also include them in the weekly newsletter/calendar, but wanted to provide you with a resource listing as well in case you were specifically looking for summer movie deals.
Movie Theaters {free or inexpensive}:
Cinemark Theaters Summer Movie Clubhouse (Gahanna and Carriage Place): 10 shows for $5 (advance purchase) or $1 per show (box office purchase). Gahanna movies are on Wednesday at 9:30am from June 12th and run through August 14th and Carriage Place movies are on Tuesdays at 10am from June 11th - August 13th. Marcus Theatres Kids Dream Summer Film Series (Crosswoods and Pickerington): $2 per show (per person). Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10am. Runs June 18th – August 5th. Info and summer movie schedule.
Gateway Film Center From Book To Film Series (Downtown, 1550 North High Street): FREE (with a library card/per person). Saturdays at 1:30PM, Mondays at 7PM and Wednesdays at 1:30PM. Offering movies that have been adapted from literary classics. Info and summer movie schedule.
Drexel Theater Kid Fest Summer Film Series (2254 East Main St., Bexley): $2 kids 12 and under, $3 adults. Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am and Saturdays at 1pm. Runs June 19th - August 3rd. Info and summer movie schedule.
Star Cinemas Free Summer Movies (Grove City): FREE. Thursdays at 10am (doors open at 9am). Runs June 13th – August 15th. Info and summer movie schedule.

Groveport Free Movie Night (Heritage Park or rain space: Crooked Alley KidSpace): FREE. June 29th, July 27th and Aug. 31st at 8pm. Popcorn will be provided. Info and movie.

Bexley’s Movie Night (Main Event): (Capital University's Main Street Lawn) FREE. During the fun new monthly Main Event, full of kid and family activities, they will also show a movie at 9pm.
