Kids these days seem to love being in the kitchen. With the popularity of cooking shows on the rise, it’s easy to see why kids want to learn how to make easy, delicious dishes to surprise family and friends. Cooking with your kids in the kitchen doesn’t need to be scary or intimidating. The most important part of cooking with your kids is preparation and organization! Have your ingredients in easy to find locations and have the kids read the recipe and find them. Make sure to read your recipe all the way through at least once before starting to cook. Place all the ingredients out in an assembly line fashion so it is easy to make. Have the kids help with clean up too! The attached lasagna cup recipe is a great way to get homemade Italian taste in a small and easy to prepare package. Serve with garlic toast and a nice salad and you have a great family meal that is easy, inexpensive and fast!

Lasagna Cups
Ingredients:
1 cup of fresh spinach leaves
1 pkg. round wonton wrappers
8 oz. mozzarella, grated
3 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated
1 Cup Tomato Sauce
1. Spray ramekins or muffin tins with non-stick cooking spray
2. Line each section of muffin pan with a round wonton wrapper.
3. Top with a pinch of parmesan, a pinch of mozzarella, and spinach into each mold.
4. Top with sauce. Repeat layers of wonton wrappers, cheeses, spinach, and tomato sauce, creating three layers in all, and ending with sauce.
5. Sprinkle each with reserved Parmesan and mozzarella on top. Bake at 375 degrees or until nicely browned, about 20 minutes.
To make easy garlic bread, pick up a pre-sliced baguette, brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and bake until golden brown, about 5 minutes. While bread is still warm, rub with whole garlic clove and then sprinkle with a bit of grated parmesan cheese. Serve warm.
Happy cooking with your kids and enjoy!
