Once you are looking sharp, it's time to hit up one of the lovely playgrounds in the area. With options galore, you'll never be at a loss for fun in Gahanna. And let's be real- running around with a fresh 'do just makes everything that much better. 

NE Columbus is lucky to have so many great parks and playgrounds for kids. Below is a sponsored list of wonderful places in Gahanna for endless fun!


Here’s a list of our family’s top five favorite parks and playgrounds in Northeast Columbus and the reasons we love them:

Sunpoint Park- Gahanna
670 McCutcheon Road
Features: Hockey/ Blue Jackets themed Park. This park is accessible for all ages and abilities. There are covered picnic areas, plenty of seating and restrooms are available. This park has several slides, and a variety of swings and climbing structures.
What my son loves: He absolutely loves climbing in the giant "web". He also really enjoys the two spinning structures on the playground. We really enjoys the various musical structures.
What I love: I love that this park has so much to offer. The grounds of the park are always very clean. This park is also surrounded by basketball courts, soccer fields and a gaga pit. 

Friendship Park- Gahanna
150 Oklahoma Ave
Features: This park has several slides for children of all ages. There are a couple climbing structures and a scavenger hunt included on the equipment. I love that this park is filled with informational material about the State Buckeye Tree and a community garden for all to enjoy. Parking is easy. There are several sports fields, basketball hoops, and picnic areas. There is a natural wooded, creek and storybook trail to explore!
What my son loves: He really enjoys going on a walk through Storybook trail. We love looking at the different plants with the changes in season. He also loves looking for wildlife along the creek. He enjoys the scavenger hunt map the is on the playground. He loves finding the scavenger hunt items again and again.
What I love: I love that this park has so much to offer! I enjoy walking around the community garden. I really enjoy the peaceful walk through storybook trail with the sounds of nature.

Blendon Woods Natural Playground- Columbus
4265 E Dublin Granville Rd
Features: Not technically Gahanna, but this is one of our absolute favorite parks in NE Columbus. Large natural playground with several different climbing structures. Restrooms are available. You can explore the wooded and creek areas with natural wildlife.
What my son loves: Climbing up the large nets. He always enjoys playing on the natural train.
What I love: This park is so unique. I like that we can spend time outdoors on a nature walk. I like that this park encourages children to use there imaginations.

Academy Park- Gahanna
1201 Cherry Bottom Rd
Features: A small playground with swings and twisty slides. There is a tire swing along with dinosaurs to play on. This park connects to our last park listed- Woodside Green with jus ta short 20min walk along Big Walnut trail.
What my son loves: Walking the nature trail between the parks. He really enjoys the tire swing.
What I love: I love the educational stops about our local pollinators. There is a very cool bee sculpture that tells you all about honey bees and how to protect them.

Woodside Green Park- Gahanna
213 Camrose Ct
Features: This is another absolute favorite! This is another Natural playground in Columbus. It offers logs, tunnels and rocks. This is a fantastic park to use your imagination. Woodside Green also has a remodeled playground with slides, climbing structures and swing. This park is connected to Academy Park along Big Walnut Trail
What my son loves: Hopping from log to log and crawling through the tunnels.
What I love: I love watching Tyler use his imagination on the Natural playground.
