I'm Patricia, the founder of Pigtails Ink. I spent much of my Long Island childhood imagining my grown up life as an artist. I have many happy memories of drawing at the kitchen table and boldly proclaimed to my parents and siblings that I was going to be an artist when I grew up. Many years later and a detour in fashion design, I realized my dream. I now spend my days joyfully (and often chaotically :)), creating art and raising three young children in Worthington, Ohio.
While studying fashion design in college, I fell in love with the world of illustration. I graduated and designed for several fashion companies but my passion for drawing continued as a hobby. Somewhere along the way, my fashion illustrations transformed into the “pigtails” characters you see today; girls and boys that make me smile when I draw them and strive to capture the humor and whimsy of children.
I found so much joy creating my characters and received endless encouragement from my friends and family that in 2006 I decided to launch Pigtails Ink. There is nothing I would rather do and my delightful drawings can be found at art shows, online and at boutiques.
