New Albany Symphony Orchestra's Student Concerto Competition: Open to Ohio residents ages 19 and younger. Applications are due on October 12th and the competition will be November 10th. Please see the details here.
2012 Kids News Ohio Scary Story Contest: Open to grades 3-8. Winners will be broken down by grades and prizes will be given. Deadline for submission is October 31st, but earlier is better. See details here or email kidsnewsohio@gmail.com.

LEGO Contest at the Columbus Art Museum: Ages 6 through adult - there are also family teams. There are several categories you can enter, prizes are given as well as the distinction to have your work displayed at the Columbus Art Museum. Submissions must be made by October 14th.
