We have your list of the fall festivals and Halloween fun in NE, East and North Columbus as well as Columbus’ larger venues. Many of the fall festivals and Halloween events are also listed in our CALENDAR. Also, check out our Columbus Pumpkin Patch List resource article for more fall fun.

Local Community Fall Festivals and Halloween Happenings (UPDATED 9/26)

Everyday in October:
*deMoyne's Greenhouse (Columbus - by the airport) Indoor straw maze, bouncy house, corn sandbox, etc. Link for Oct. 3rd but this is open everyday. Ages 12 & under


Saturday, Oct. 1st
*Dawes Arboretum Fall Festival (Newark) 10am-4pm Family fun, children's activities, animals, and more. FREE


Thursday, Oct. 6th
*New Albany's Trick - It's a Treat Family event to sample some Halloween treats. 

*Leeds Farm Witches Night Out: Fun ladies only night (21 and up) to raise money to fight cancer.


Saturday, Oct. 8th
*Oakland Nurseries Fall Festival (All Columbus locations) 12-4pm Each location has different family fun activities.

*Grove port Apple Butter Day (Heritage Park) 10am-6pm. Apple butter stirring, crafts, antique tractor show, kids activities, and more.

*Harvest Moon Festival (Granville) 12-4pm. Kid activities and more. 


Friday, Oct. 14th
*Leeds Farm (Ostrander) 10am-5pm Special Friday open!

*Bexley’s Harvest Festival (Jeffrey Park) 6–8pm Corn maze, hayrides, enchanted walk, balloons, face painting, live music, crafts, bonfire, & more! Free.

*Worthington's Big Top Halloween (Community Center) 6:30-8:30pm Family Halloween fun. Free


Saturday, Oct. 15th
*Leeds Farm Harvest Moon Festival (Ostrander) Family fun, and open until 8pm.

*Trick or Treat Trail & Children's Costume Contest at Oakland Nursery (Columbus location) 1-3pm 

*Family Fall Festival at Lamb of God Lutheran Church (Close to Easton) 2-5pm Food, crafts, games, bounce house, and more.

*Ohio Historical Society’s All Hallow’s Eve  5:30–9:30pm Old fashioned Halloween family fun activities, and retelling of Legend of Sleepy Hollow.


Sunday, Oct. 16th
*Sunbury's Fall Festival (Village Square) 3-7pm Children's activities, bounce house, haunted town Hall, and more.


Friday, Oct. 21st
*Pumpkin Parties at Gymboree (Gahanna) 0 to 5 years old. Pumpkin parade, pumpkin decorating, goodies and more.  Two times: 4pm and 6pm. Registration. Mac Kid discount.

*Westerville’s Halloween Treat Trail Party  6–8:30pm Carnival games, a trick or Treat trail, horse drawn carriage. Free

*Boo at the Zoo (Columbus Zoo) 5pm-9pm Too much to list! 


Saturday, Oct. 22nd
*Genoa Twp. Trick-Or-Treat Village (7049 Big Walnut Rd) 12-3pm. Crafts, trick-or-treating, and food. Free. 

*Boo at the Zoo (Columbus Zoo) 10am-9pm Too much to list! 

*Gahanna’s Creepside Festival (Creekside Park) 1-5pm Games, activities, haunted trail, a trick or treat trail and more! Free. 

*Jefferson Township's Halloween Party  6-9pm. Lots of fun activities! Free

*Hayride to Pumpkin Patch (Slate Run) 4-5pm Get a pumpkin to take home

*Halloween Family Fun Night (Groveport) Stories, walk, s'mores and trunk or treating. Free

*Halloween Hop (Columbus Speech & Hearing) Lots of fun activities. All ages and abilities. 10am free

*Ohio Historical Society’s All Hallow’s Eve  5:30–9:30pm Old fashioned Halloween family fun activities, and retelling of Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

*Reynoldsburg Community Halloween Party (JFK Park) 6–9pm Games, live entertainment, food & more! Residents ONLY. 


Sunday, Oct. 23rd
*Boo at the Zoo (Columbus Zoo) 10am-9pm Too much to list! 

*Trick or Treat Trail (Gallant Woods Preserve) 1-4pm.  Trick or treat trail, decorate pumpkins, and hayride. Free

*Easton's Halloween Pet Parade and Fall Festival: 12-3pm. Costumed pets parade and contest, kids activities and more.

*Pumpkin Parties at Gymboree (Gahanna) 0 to 5 years old. Pumpkin parade, pumpkin decorating, goodies and more.  Two times: 2pm and 4pm. Registration. Mac Kid discount.

*Westerville’s Zombie Halloween Pool Party (Community Center) 5:30-7pm. Pumpkin pool hunt, face painting, zombie lifeguards, costume contest and more! Register.


Tuesday, Oct. 25th
*Halloween Storytime (Orange Branch Library) 6:30pm Halloween themed stories and activities. Free


Thursday, Oct. 27th
*Halloween Storytime (Pataskala Library) 6:30pm Kids should wear costumes. Free

*Pickerington's Haunted Village  6-8pm. Ghost tours, storytelling, hayrides, trick or treat, and more. Free


Friday, Oct. 28th
*Halloween Open House at Sharon Woods (Spring Hollow Lodge) 9:30am-2pm. Fun games, crafts and activities. Ages 3-5 with an adult. Free. 

*Old Worthington Library's Pumpkin Parade 10am Ages 2-5 in costume. Singing, dancing, parade around outside library. free

*Westervillle Library's Pumpkin Painting for Kids: 10am Kids paint pumpkins while supplies last. free

*Boo at the Zoo (Columbus Zoo) 5-9pm Too much  to list! 


Saturday, Oct. 29th
*Boo at the Zoo (Columbus Zoo) 10am-9pm Too much to list! 

*Trick or Treat at the Franklin Park Conservatory 11am–4pm. Trick-or-treating and decorate a treat bags.  

*Halloween in the Hollow (Shale Hollow Preserve) 6:30-8:30pm. Scavenger hunt, hike, and bonfire. FREE. 

*Preschoolers Costume Party (Blacklick Woods) 4pm Ages 3-5 free

*Zombie Apocalypse Herbs for Survival (Gahanna Herb Center) Teen event. 1pm - registration needed


Sunday, Oct. 30th
*Annual Halloween Party (Inniswood Gardens) 2-4pm. Kids activities and crafts. Free. 

*North Market’s Halloween Family Funday (Downtown) 10am–3pm Craft activities, trick or treating, music and more! Free

*Boo at the Zoo (Columbus Zoo) 10am-8pm Too much to list! 

*American Girl Halloween Spooktacular (Easton) Ages 3 and up. Crafts, photo opp, treats 1-4pm

*Fall Fun (Highbanks Park) 1pm  Leaf piles, hayride, fall activities. Free


Monday, Oct. 31st
*Pickerington Library's Trick or Treat at the Library: 1-3pm. Crafts and trick or treat. Free

*Pickerington's Tots Trick or Treat (City Hall) 1:30pm Ages 2-5, trick or treat

*American Girl Halloween Spooktacular (Easton) Ages 3 and up. Crafts, photo opp, treats 4-7pm
