Don't miss CATCO is Kids' James and the Giant Peach Jr. Based on one of Roald Dahl's most poignantly quirky stories, James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new musical take on this "masterpeach" of a tale. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions.
To help introduce the story to children, CATCO has compiled background information and activities for parents to do with their children before and after the show in James and the Giant Peach Jr. playguide. Many of the activities are designed to help students meet the curriculum standards required in schools by the Ohio Department of Education and the Common Core State Standards Initiative, and are identified with a “curriculum connection” icon. My family loves seeing these shows. They are engaging and hold their attention the entire time. These are my favorite family date experiences, and ones that I have found my children remember.
